The NC Public History Collective is working to support grassroots Black history projects and to help African American students and emerging professionals enter into and thrive in the field of public history. The team is composed of scholars at UNC Greensboro, NC Central University, the North Carolina African American Heritage Commission.
Our Mission
Our mission is to increase publicly engaged scholarly activity across the state of North Carolina while also preparing and nurturing the next generation of public historians.
